"He who aspires to be a hero must drink brandy."- Samuel Johnson

The origins of brandy can be traced back to the 7th and 8th centuries. Brandy is a
distilled spirit made from grape wine or the fermented mash of another fruit.
Almost all brandies are aged and virtually every wine-producing country makes
brandy.

All cognac is brandy, but not all brandy is cognac.
Cognac is French brandy that must come from the agricultural district of the
Charente-Charente Maritme departmentes about 100 miles north of Bordeaux on
the coast of France.
Hennessey & Courvoisier are two well known cognacs.
